August 2015

We love summer! Swimming with cousins at the Rupert pool.

The girls took turns getting items out of my closet for a fashion show. I didn't know they were doing this until they came out of my room all decked out in Mom clothes.

The morning of the Spudman...sooo many nerves, but so much excitement too. I had prepared all summer with lots of running outside and on the treadmill, lots of bike rides and spinning classes, and to be honest, not a whole lot of swimming. :) But I felt good and in good shape to do well and beat my time of 2:45 from my previous Spudman.

Just dropped off my waterbottle and aired up my bike tires...This is really happening!!

I will always remember Spudman 2015 as: the one with the flat tire. It was a beautiful day, swim went great, bike was going fabulous, 22 miles into the ride POP goes my back tire on the Declo highway. I was SO close! Thankfully after struggling to change my tire for quite a while, the sweetest couple pulled over, sacrificing their race time, and helped me change it. I was so very grateful, they were my heroes. They got me on my way and motivated me to continue on and finish the run. (I lost motivation after the tire to be honest!) It ended up being a fun morning and I had cute cheerleaders to greet me!

My sweet high school friends came over to visit the day of the Spudman. Love those girls.

After church expressions. I feel the saaaaame way girls. :)

Sweet daddy made breadsticks with the girls for Sunday dinner. The girls got geared up with their aprons on and were big helpers!

MOVIE NIGHT!

These girls (who live in their swimsuits in the summer time), get the best mustaches when they drink Kefir. I had to document it.

Mrs. Pink Poodle!

Famous summer snow-cone run. The favorite flavors this year were: Grace was pistachio cream, Lucy was cotton candy or birthday cake, and London was ALWAYS bubble gum.

Visiting Daddy at this potato cellar in Aberdeen. It was a hot summer for him, poor guy!

We picked him up one day and went to Ross Park for some family fun. It was a perfect day and the girls loved swimming with dad.

Zonked out after a long day of swimming.

We got our first eggs from our baby chickens! Woo-hoo!
