April update

Before I post about Easter, I have some pre-Easter events to update on...
On April 1st (April Fools) I tried to think up some really good pranks, but couldn't come up with much. The best I had was to put a dot of food coloring in the girl's cup, so when I poured their milk it turned a color. It was more like a magic trick to them then a prank. They loved it! :)
Jared always wants me to make no-bake cookies. He loves them and I really don't, we don't make them too often. I decided to surprise him and make some while he wasn't paying attention. I couldn't think of a prank to pull on Jared, but little did I know the cookies ended up being the perfect April Fools joke. Sad. I burned them! (Didn't know you could burn no-bake cookies, did ya?) The part where you boil the butter and cocoa on the stove, I boiled it too much. They were little balls of burned oats. SICK! Jared was so excited when he saw them on the counter, and was a little heartbroken that they were disgusting. April Fools! :)
A couple of days later was my birthday. Pretty low-key this year, but really nice.
Lovely birthday flowers....
Birthday decor by my sweet Mom, who watched the girls while I had activity days.
Jared's parent's watched the girls while we ate out at upper crust that night. I had brought our camera with me and told Jared I was going to take some "artsy contemporary" pictures of him, so he played up the drama...we were laughing so hard.
He told me what the real meaning was behind this one, but I don't remember exactly what he said. Something about his voice being suppressed in a cruel world or something :)
 Beautiful. :) hehe
He tried to take some of me, but I couldn't keep as dramatic of a face as he could...
It was a gorgeous day, so we decided to take a little walk along the river across the street. The sun was about to set, it was so perfect!

Here's my baby bump in all it's 18 week glory:
I had to throw in this picture, because it's a pretty good representation of how Lucy has been this month. Her canine's are coming in and she is Mrs. Drama Queen! When she throws a fit she either slouches her shoulders and makes a huge frowny face, or does this against the closest wall she can find! Where does she learn this stuff??
 And sweet Gracie girl....
Jared has been working really hard refinishing the Burley tennis courts. The city council was going to do it through a different company that was going to charge over 100k for it, but decided it was too expensive. Jared knew he could do it for WAY less, and got it approved! It's a lot of work, but I think the courts are looking so great!

I love those artsy pictures. Maybe next year for April Fool's you could get one of Jared printed huge and hung up on the wall! :)

Hooray for the tennis courts being re-done. It's about time! (Or 10 years late...)
