My Mother's Day top 10 list:
1. On Mother's Day Eve, Jared took me to the Pizza Pie Cafe. A very fun, delicious place.
2. That night we had a sleepover in the living room and watched two of my favorite movies: Father of the Bride part 1 and 2.
3. I woke up to a delicious breakfast of Jared's specialty eggs, made with love by Jared. He also washed the dishes all day, because he knows how much I hate washing the dishes.

4. At church we heard some uplifting talks about Mothers. Made me want to be a better one. The ward gave each Mom some pretty roses. Gracie pretty much behaved herself, besides stealing some kid's snacks.
5. After nap time we drove to a park by Timpview and had a delicious picnic in the sunny sunshine. Gracie and I both love Doritos, and we bought a bag the night before just for us...mmm...We decided we need more picnics in our lives.

6. Gracie loves all parks, and we loved watching and playing with her...(we didn't play too hard, it was the sabbath, you know.)

7. I got a nice, new BYU sweatshirt so I'll always remember our time in Provo, the place where I became a Mother.
8. All day long baby Lucy kicked and moved around like crazy. It was like she knew it was Mother's day and wanted to have a little dance party for me.
9. We got to visit my Grandma that evening, who we love so much. We also got to talk to our wonderful Mothers, who we can't wait to live by and learn from.
10. I love being Gracie's Mom, and really thought about motherhood all day. It's something I can't fully explain, the love I feel for my child. All I know is that I am grateful to be able to feel that love every day, to watch it continue to grow, and to have a wonderful husband to share it with.

I think the sweatshirt was a perfect Mother's Day gift--and you look sporting it too. Picnics are the best and I love that you got Doritos for you and Gracie.
Hey Abs. Yes! Definitely come for little weekend trips! We have PLENTY of room. Kenley's 'big girl' room has 2 twin beds, and then the baby's room has a bed as well (plus we have an air mattress...) And, we have some amazing parks around here and a zoo (which little G would love)... we would have so much fun! Lets plan it!
Beautiful post. Happy belated mother's day!
i like your motherhood, abs.
Every generation gets better at mothering, fathering, everything.
Keep up the good work at home.
