We are Idahoans! We've been wishing this day would come for almost 4 years now...we live in Burley!
The only thing is...Jared hasn't quite finished his classes. He finished most of his block classes, but has to drive to BYU two more times to take some tests and he has two online classes to finish up. We can say that we're officially done with school most likely sometime in August.
We already love it here even though we haven't closed on our house yet, so we actually moved into Jared's parent's basement for a little while. It's been nice so far, and will be even better when we can get working on our house. Jared started work last week and loves it already! He fits right in. Gracie loves spending time in Grandma and Grandpa's yard, and riding her new bike, and I love chasing her around. :)
Before we left Utah I wanted to take Gracie swimming, since I knew it would be a while until we got in a pool in Idaho (proof? it snowed yesterday. I'm serious.) We invited Brittany and Zack along for the ride, and headed to the Lehi Legacy center. Gracie was a little more cautious than I thought she'd be.
There was this GIANT bucket of water over the kid's play area that would dump every 5 minutes...every time the little bell would ring telling us the bucket was about to go Gracie would get terrified!! She'd cling to me like I was her last hope of survival. Other than the bucket, she loved the pool, and baby "Sack". Zack seriously is such a good baby. He's just chill, and super cute. Britt and I had a wonderful time chatting...I'll miss them.
The moving process was not the greatest. Luckily, we took it a little bit at a time. The week before we moved I'd pack some boxes every day, then Jared would come home and load them. The day of our actual move was the bad part. We had lots of big furniture to load and a few more boxes. Lots of people had offered to help us move, but we turned them down because 8 guys from our ward signed up to help. The morning of the move rolls around...one guy shows up! I'm 27 weeks pregnant and can't do much (I tried to help as much as I could, then started feeling contractions, so I stopped). I felt so bad watching Jared and our home teacher suffer through it. They made like 1,000 trips from our apartment to the trailer. Meanwhile, I watched Gracie as she tried to "help" (unpack everything). It was a crazy day, but we made it to Idaho, barely.
This last weekend, we decided to cash in our gift certificate to the Outpost in Almo, ID. Chad and Bonnie had given these awesome gift cards to us as our Christmas gift, and it was wonderful. We went with Jared's brother Jason and his wife Jenn while Chad and Bonnie watched all the kids. So nice!
First off, we ate a nice, big steak dinner. One of the best steaks we've ever had! Dutch oven potatoes to go with it, and follow it up with some home cooked pie, and we were in heaven.
After dinner we went to Durfee hot springs which is really close to the Outpost. Us pregnant ladies couldn't sit in the hottest pool, so we sat in the medium pool the whole time. It felt kind of like bath water, and the air was freezing (it snowed the next day...), so it was pretty cold. The guys sat in the hottest pool the whole time. I was kind of envious, but I didn't want to bake my baby :) we put our feet in the hot pool right before we left, to warm up. It was a fun place, but a little chilly.
We thought the rooms were really cute and cozy. The next morning Jenn and I got a relaxing massage from the on-staff masseuse. It was just what I needed to relax. The messeuse only had time for two that morning, so the guys sacrificed for their ladies. I think they were a little nervous too, since they've never had one before :)
It was such a nice get-away! I had no idea this fun little place even existed, but I definitely want to go again.
The next day we got to spend some time with Elliot and his family. They are living in Idaho for the summer, so I'm sure we'll have some good times with them...can't wait!
So there you have it, some of our fun recent events! I'm sure there will be many more to follow...

Are the rooms at the hot springs? I never knew they existed either. Whoonu?!
I've never heard of that place either! Wow, sorry we actually moved the same weekend you guys did or we would've helped, too! Troy actually had the same experience. We only had him and his home teacher. Poor guys.
Welcome home you guys. That's so exciting you guys are home now. I know kara says knowing you're home makes her want to move here even more. if you ever want to get out and go somewhere you can always stop by...seriously anytime.
