We have officially moved to Caldwell, Idaho for 7 months! Our families helped us pack up our house and move to a cute little rental so Jared can be close to work. They got a job building a fertilizer plant in Caldwell, and we decided we'd rather be there with him then for Jared to be gone for 4 days a week.
Just a week after moving, we decided to head back to Burley for fair weekend and for a little baby shower that some of my friends threw for me (which I got no pictures of!) The shower was darling, they decorated so cute and I got some really great stuff to help me prepare for this baby. I love my sweet friends!
Jenny's kids were there staying with my parents while she was at a class in Utah, so my kids lovvvved playing with their Robbins cousins!
They had a tea party dressed as different characters...a cowboy, nerd, fairies, artist, a cowgirl and a mexican. They were talking about where they were from and the older kids said things like, "I'm from Spain! I'm from Mexico! Lucy is from France!" and Gracie said, "I'm from Costco!" (we need some geography lessons in our house.)
My parents and I took all the kids (6 of them!) to the Burley Rodeo. They had their neck-erchiefs all ready to go and looked like cowboys and cowgirls.
To be honest, the kid's favorite part was the cotton candy...
Lucy liked her front row seat! The bulls would come right up to where we were, so this made me a little nervous....
The next day our family had a birthday party for Lucy and Lia, who have birthdays this weekend one day apart. Elliot came with his family, and Melinda came for her class reunion, so she was there, and Grandma and Grandpa Jones and Kristi came over for the party too. We had presents and Elmo cupcakes and ice cream, and pin the tail on the donkey!
Jared came to Burley later, so he missed the first rodeo trip. We decided to go as a family on Saturday night and the rodeo was a little disappointing. Nobody could stay on! We had fun though, mostly because of the cotton candy :)
Since being here in Caldwell I've tried to find things to do for the girls before I have this baby. We found a really fun park that we've been to twice now. It's HUGE! One day it was so hot that the kids wanted to go run through the splash pad part of the park...so we did. Fully clothed! It was worth it...
We're loving life!
