wrapping up the holidays.

New Years Eve...

We went to a fun cousin party at Jason and Jenn's house...we ate lots of good food and played some fun board games. They are a hilarious group of people....seriously.

The power went out for about 1/2 an hour, but we didn't let it stop us from playing games, everyone used the flashlights on their cell phones :)

 Midnight came and I planted one on Jared. When I tried to capture the moment on my camera, I didn't realize I was on mondo-zoom so we got a nice close up of his true feelings about my kisses :)

 Fun times, fun times...

Grace went to primary as a Sunbeam for the first time! She was soooo excited, and luckily I got to see her sitting like a big girl in primary. I was just called as the primary chorister, so I'm in there every week with her. I love it. The first week when I stood up there to sing, Grace ran up and announced to everyone, "This is my Mom!" What a sweetie. Here she is on her first day in primary:

Some funny things Grace has said lately:

• We were driving down the road when Grace said, "Mom, see those mountains? (pointing to Mt. Harrison) That is China over there."
• Driving again, Grace spotted a train that was stopped, "Mom, look at that train, it's broken! I bet Dad could fix it, he's a worker!" 
• After just putting on some makeup, I turned around to see Grace watching me. She said, "Pretty makeup Mom!" I said thanks. Then she said, "It looks like you're in the circus!" Awesome. 
• We were sitting at a stoplight. Grace looked over at the car next to us and said, "Hey Mom, beat that car ok?" :) A felt a little burst of pride when I heard her say it. I hit the gas when the light turned green and heard her in the backseat say, "Yessssssssss."
• I was putting her back in bed after she had gotten out for the third time, she was trying to stall so I would stay in her room....g: "can I have a glass of water?" me: "no Grace, go to bed." g: can you tell me a story pleasssse?" me: "no Grace", g: "Hey Mom, I really don't like your hair like that. It's weird." I just  walked out after that. :)
• We were at my parent's house one night and Grace and Lucy were having a dance party with their cousins Lia and Jonas. The music was playing and everyone was dancing, Grace ran over to my Mom and said, "Hey Grandma, I have a secret for you." She leaned forward and whispered in her ear, "Grandma, shake your body!"
