Hansel and Gretel

Grace has been taking ballet for the past few months. She is in the youngest class and got to star in the big Hansel and Gretel performance this year as a lollipop. So darling.
The week of the performance was quite crazy. We were packing for our trip to California, and had 6 hour rehearsals that we had to attend! Finally, it was performance time. Our little 3 year old lollipops had almost had enough, but they performed wonderfully!
Every once in a while Grace would get sucked in to whatever movie was playing and I'd have to force her out on stage. Here she is watching the Little Mermaid:
 The little lollipop girls:
 One day they took cast pictures. The kids were on stage for close to an hour. Grace got sick of it and did her own thing;
 The performance was so cute, it was worth all the time, tears and tantrums.
The entire cast:
 Grace was quite the performer on stage. The lollipops run out of the gingerbread house (above) and do a little dance with the candy lady (who is the witch) and Gretel. The first performance, they ran out and Grace got distracted by the big cake that Hansel was eating. She wandered over to him and I'm sure asked for a piece while all the other lollipops were dancing. At the end of their dance they blow kisses to the audience, and that is when she decided to participate. She went to the front of the stage, blew kisses and started spinning around, when she was supposed to run off. :)
During the finale when all the kids come out and bow, she couldn't get enough of the applause. She'd  bow and bow, wander to the front of the stage when it wasn't her turn and bow again.
We loved watching our little ballerina!

No, no... this is not the blog post I am waiting for...

That being said, she is cute little ballerina, I agree.

hahahahaha...oh wow. I love her. Also, I swear her and Zack are sooo alike. Both are the child always being slightly mischievous.

It was so fun to see graceful Grace on the stage blending in with all the other colorful and talented dancers. We will look forward to next year.

That is so fun! I can't wait to watch my girls in dance recitals. Looks like you have a little performer on your hands!
