Last weekend we headed down south for some pumpkin patch fun.
My sister Jenny and 3 of her kids were in town (Brady and his dad were hunting), so we decided to show them, my parents and Jared's sister Kristi a good time in the big thriving town of Oakley.
It seriously is our favorite pumpkin patch around, we loved going last year.
Jared was the photographer, here are some of my favorite pictures he snapped:
Gracie was "pretend eating" the Indian corn. We took a bagful home with us, the colors are so gorgeous.
Family photo:
We got to take Jared's sister Kristi with us, she came with us last year too. Her parents were in Sun Valley for the weekend and we got to stay with her. We all had fun, and Kristi even picked out her favorite pumpkin in the patch to take home.
The kids ran through the little straw maze for a little while...
Then we got on the hay ride. The guy took us around the pumpkin patch and told us to yell "stop" when we saw a pumpkin we wanted. The kids loved yelling stop, even when we didn't want to stop.
(the girl sitting by my mom isn't a relative...she just hopped in during the picture:))
Everyone had on their festive Halloween shirts. We were a little out of the loop without one on. Next year we'll come decked out.
Jenny, Mom and Ruby:
Dad, Kristi, Jared, me and Lucy checking out the pumpkins...
The hay-ride man (I don't know his name) told the kids that he really needed help counting the pumpkins. At first the kids took it seriously and started counting as fast as they could. They gave up after about 13.
Here they are picking the perfect pumpkin:
Grandma helped out too:
We had fun while the sun lasted...then it started getting a little cold. The kids ran through the haunted house and weren't too big of fans. A little on the scary side. They loved feeding the goats, looking at all the different kinds of pumpkins (wart-y, white, round, short, bumpy, stripey, etc!), running through the little corn maze, playing mini-golf, and bean bag toss too! It was a fun night.
And free suckers to top it off. Doesn't get much better!

We love our local pumpkin patch!! Beckett kept calling Wayne (the hayride man) "little boy" on the hayride! We were cracking up laughing. Looks like a fun time!!
