{this just in}

1. Lucy is a smiley girl...I love this stage, when they are beginning to notice things and be aware of who is talking to them. She is pretty attached to mama these days, and will smile for me all day. Jared's a little jealous, I think. She is too cute, and we'll do anything to get this smile out of her.
2. Gracie is righteous. The other morning I came into the living room and found her reading her scriptures. We've apparently taught her well, to read her scriptures first thing in the morning, before engaging in other fun activities.
There's also a chance she was looking at it because she likes the noise the pages make when she crinkles them up. Either way, I loved it:
3. Burley is beautiful. We took a walk along the river the other night after getting delicious ice cream cones from Gossner's. The sun was setting and reflecting on the water, and the leaves were turning colors. It was a stunning, beautiful sight.
The girls LOVED it. Lucy loves cuddlin' with mom in her baby bjorn.
4Everyone needs a family date night to Taco Banditoat least once a week, right? :) I love that place, and Jared and Gracie love to share pop:
5Burley Homecoming game: Go for the company, not so much expecting a win. It was exciting to be in the football game atmosphere at this time of year regardless of the score, and it's always fun to see the whole town of Burley there, too. We had a good time sitting with Jared's parents. Gracie ate her bag of popcorn, then moved on to Grandpa's, then moved on to the stranger's bag sitting behind us. Between the popcorn and watching the "princesses" (homecoming queens), she loved it.
 Lucy kept nice and toasty cuddling with her Dad, lucky girl:
that's our life for now!

Ahhh, Taco Bandido. Ahhh, Snake River. Ahhh, Homecoming. Watching you do these things in Burley with your own family makes me incredibly nostalgic.

Looks like so much fun. I am craving some jacket weather! Tonight we went for a walk and Jonas was wearing a t-shirt and a diaper!

Oh goodness, your girls are just TOO stinkin' cute--seriously! And I'm totally jealous that you get to have weekly taco bandito dates...if we lived there we would be so on board! I bet it feels good to be up and out doing things. I miss you, I'll have to call you soon!
