The day of LOVE....

We had an entire weekend-long celebration of Valentines day in the Jones house! It started Friday night, Jared and I were in charge of our ward Valentines Day shindig. It was a hilarious, delicious, entertaining activity if we do say so ourselves. We had lots of yummy desserts for everyone, decked the place in hearts and love decor, and then played a super funny game of "Celestial Companions" aka (the Newlywed Game, LDS version). The guys sat on one side of the room, the girls on the other, and they had to answer some pretty tough questions about each other. Everyone was laughing so hard at each other's answers, we loved it. The best part of the night? Jared and I got to take home a leftover Costco cheesecake. THAT made our Valentines day.

On Saturday we rented some movies, and then went to the Pizza Pie Cafe in Provo...it was heavenly. Probably our new favorite place.

Sunday we gave each other gifts, I made Jared a candy bar bouquet with all his favorites...
Jared presented me with some Edward Cullen conversation hearts...they were even glittery like Vampire skin! I laughed so hard...but they really were yummy. He also got me this beautiful bouquet of flowers and some comfy pj pants, since the ones I wear everyday are from 8th grade. Loved it!
Gracie lucked out this year...she got a new red pettiskirt....
and a new Elmo show about LOVE! (We were hoping it would teach her how to give hugs and kisses....something she rarely/painfully does).
We love Valentines Day, it's such a happy holiday.
To be honest...the best part about the day was when Jared made us breakfast, and dinner, did all the dishes, and changed all the stinky diapers.
Now that is love.

Next year I'm totally making the candy bar bouquet--it's adorable!! You should do a how-to blog entry for idiots like me who can't quite figure it out by just looking at it. Gracie's skirt is a hit, love it!

Sounds like you had a great Valentines-- you guys are so cute like that. I'm pretty impressed that Jared cooks and changes diapers-- are we sure he really is a Jones?
