Wednesday morning we pull up to Belize. They didn't have a pier there, so we had to take a boat from the ship to land. Our big Jones Dental group immediately found a tour group to take us snorkeling and to a nice beach. I was so grateful Jared and I didn't have to make any of the big decisions and find things to do...we basically just followed everybody else around! (some of our group had been on this cruise before and knew the good things to do...)
Immediately the tour group put us on a little speed boat and took us out into the middle of the ocean where we'd snorkel. Here's just some of our group:
The snorkeling was really cool, the water was just a little choppy that day from the wind, so the water wasn't perfectly clear where we were. I got lots of pictures on our underwater camera that I'll post later. We got back on the boat and they drove us to Bannister Island. When we pulled up to the little island (about the size of 2 city blocks), I decided I probably never wanted to leave. Here's our first view pulling up:
We were there for a few hours and I never quite got over just how gorgeous the island was. It was like a dream!! Our group was large and we almost had the whole place to ourselves. They had a little bar/restaurant place, a water trampoline, and beach volleyball...we played volleyball first, and the bartender came and told us whichever team won got a free Rum Coke. Sweet. Dr. Jones told them we probably wouldn't take them up on that offer, so they just gave the winners a Coke.

Here we are (Jared with his Coke) in front of the coolest palm:
Lovely beach...warm sun...perfect water...what more could you ask for?
(you can see the water trampoline behind us)
The monkey cage...they were so cute!
They had this huge swing set! I loved it...I felt like a little kid. Here I am with Dale and Mary (Dr. Ammon Jones' inlaws who are hilarious)

Jared just swingin' away, working on his tan.
We walked out onto the dock to take a picture of the island...there were little blue and yellow fish swimming all around us.
We were so sad to leave the gorgeous island. We vowed we'd be back, though. If you ever go to Belize, request a day in the most perfect, romantic place you've ever seen, Bannister island!

It looks so great. As much as I loved Paris, I'm totally jealous of short sleeves, swimming suits and shorts! I keep reminding myself that summer will come. One day, right?
Oh, I'm dying! I am so jealous! That looks like so much fun! (Wasn't Tulum awesome!?) You have an awesome boss!
Oh wow, that really was beautiful. I loved the little huts. And the sand and water was so clean looking! Just beautiful.
I am dying too! It looks like sooooo much fun! The pictures do look like a dream.
When you say that you "vowed to go back", did you also vow to take your sister next time? If not, I right now VOW to go with you! :) Paradise...
Ask Jenny when we are going cause I am vowing to go too! Beautiful pictures...looks like alot of fun.
