Day Seven: Started out like this...(in other words, fantastic!)There's a good reason why Round Rock donuts are famous. They're super good. I didn't get many pictures from this day, but we went in waves to the new Harry Potter movie, Kristin and I had a girl's night out and had fun! I LOVED the movie! It was by far my favorite HP movie so far. I can't wait for the next one. The following pic is another one I got from that day. Gracie learned a new trick. Whenever she's bored she sticks her finger up her nose. I blame Texas for this habit. That evening we were treated to the best Texas Barbecue at a restaurant called the Salt Lick. We ate a lot, and enjoyed every bite. They have gooooood food in the lone star state. Elliot's "I'm so exhausted from eating all this food" face. Sweet Little Jonas and his mama. Day Eight: we left pretty early for the airport. Here we are saying our goodbyes. I'll miss this little guy. We had the greatest time in Texas. I am so glad we were able to go. We hadn't seen El and his fam in a year and had missed them so much!! It was good to catch up and meet the newest addition to their family. Austin was a gorgeous place and I'd love to go back someday.
In other news, Gracie styled her first ponytail the other day (while chewing on a teething biscuit). I love it!
Wow!! Yay for hair how cute.... looks like you had a great time with your family and all the fun things that you did their make me want to go on a vacation really REALLY bad!!!!
I love how we usually associate vacations with the food we ate while we were there. The Texas vacation will be your best mexican and bbq food. Also, Gracie's hair looks super cute in a pony. Sniff, she's growing up!
Good thing I got on your reading list! I can't believe how much Gracie has grown! It's a shame Texas is so big or maybe we could have met up in Austin! :) I had a woman at the grocery store ask me if I was from Austin (?!) and I told her I'd never been there. She said "oh, you just look like you'd be from Austin." I guess that's a compliment?! Glad to see you enjoyed Texas.
You stinkers need to let us know the next time you come to Texas! I can't believe how big Gracie is getting! I love her little pony! We hope you're doing well! Can't wait for more pictures.

I've heard of the Salt Lick as being the best BBQ from folks who've lived in Texas or been there a lot. I'm 90% jealous and 10% happy for you. :)
And 20% annoyed that I'm commenting while logged in as Jo.
